That's not the first time I've heard that. Gammer loyalists don't seem to like Dougal's influence.
Whizzkid was singing, so I guess it wasn't Jerome. Ha ha didn't occur to me at the time.
But yes, I'm liking this return to the earlier styles. Good sales may ensure more of that.

I'm definitly not a gammer loyalist, he's has produced gash music himself for the past years. I prefered his freeform stuff from 2005

The melody is good, but the vocal would have been beter if it had been a female vocalist.

Hardcore's moving away from the electro influence & going backwards & this is a good thing?
I couldn't listen to this style of Hardcore 5 years ago so what chance do I have now? It made me cringe then & it still does to this day. Completely ordinary.
I'm not saying I was ever the biggest fan of the Electro influenced stuff but atleast it was original to the Hardcore scene.

but this style of Hardcore has been regurgitated countless times.
I used to be confident that the commercial sound of Hardcore was just a phase & given time would eventually progress into something much more creative but that doesn't appear to be the case. I'm beggining to think that Hardcore will never progress now & will be stuck to this stereotype sound for many years to come.
People in our scene are far to narrow minded to new ideas & until that changes, producers will cover the same ground inorder to make money. If guys like the NEC can't even change the direction (& tbh I don't think they were far off) then who else can?

You ever stopped to consider that people liking what they like isn't narrow-mindedness? Why would someone want to encourage a scene to take a new direction when there's a fair chance that the new direction isn't going to be to that persons liking?
My point isn't "you're wrong". I'm just saying - what you regard as a lack of creativity or willingness to try something new, someone else regards as "Ahh man, I'm so glad DJ 4example is still churning out tune after tune in this style that I love".
