do you remember yours?
i had mine last night, i started off my train wrecking my first mix, but than i got into sum perfect mixing & even played out a few of my own tunes(which impressed people), there was prolly no more than 20people there but it'll always be an experience i never forget.
im now a core part of the crew, so ill be dj'n every event the promoter throws. its so cool that being a music nerd pays off somewhat.
my next event will be in july and i cant wait for that to come! :D.

HAHA!
Glad you liked it that much and people seem to keep you in memory in a good way. Enjoy it, but try not to to hyperventilate.
Being no DJ, I am unable to share my experiences with you. and I am still looking forward to get my rave cherry popped (or at least what I definate being a rave today).

Mine went really well! Was just in March actually! I dropped some heavy tunes, and the crowd loved it! Had a guy come up on stage just to give me props :P

It's over 20 years ago now. I filled in for a mate when he couldn't make his regular night in a club, 4 hours playing tunes i didn't know that well!

It was in 1995 when I had been asked to play on a bigger disco event with about 700 people around. They had promoted me as special guest without knowing which kind of sound I'd spin. The others were playing some Ace of Base or DJ Bobo stuff since none was familar to techno sound, but I decided to shock them with some Speedfreak and BuzzFuzz tunes.... *lol* What can I say, the crowd just wasn't yet ready for that so I had to leave the stage after a few minutes. Guess this was the shortest gig I ever had...

Yeah i had an idea what it meant but I've never actually known what it is supposed to mean. It's an American thing. Even now that you said it it still dosn't make a great deal of sense to me. It dosn't seem like the best phrase to abbreviate.
