i just bought a pc game and it was working fine until a few hours ago now my dvd rw drive doesn't recognize that i've put the disc in any1 know what is wrong n how to fix it i've tried the microsoft website n that didnt work

sounds like a problem with the drive itself. if you have a drive cleaner, use it. that might help it. also clean the disc as well.

i'm gonna buy sum lens cleaner n see if that works i can't be the disc as it's brand new an has never left the disc drive i might even take the laptop back to the shop coz i've only had it about a month n it's been ****in up constantly for the past 2 weeks

well it could be the disc as well. i remember when the dreamcasts first came out they had problems with some of the games. one in particular, sonic adventure, worked well when first played, but then the dreamcast couldn't read them.

Either you've scratched the disc or the drive is fecked. Probably the latter.

it's the drive just had my cuzin look at it he pressed sum keys n all these wierd numbers n shit came up on the screen then he just came out with "your drive is ****ed" am not a happy bunny only had it a month so i'm gawna get it replaced or maybe even buy a new one this is an acer that only cost 399 wen i cuda spent around 700 - 800 on a sony
