Well, today's the day! Big rave and meet with the infamous Jay. I've taken the necessary precautions and left details with my family and lawyer just in case. If nobody hears from me in a while, please check news reports in the Peterborough area for any bodies found stuffed in a suitcase with an orange in their mouth - JAY DID IT!

Well despite a few hiccups that was a very good night (despite me being a total lightweight). I can confirm Jay is every bit as lovely in real life as he is online, and he was very gentle with me - although he never fully explained why he had a bag with duct tape, a rope and a shovel in it!

Ha ha!
Man, don't know where to begin. Firstly, superb to finally meet Dean. Lovely, lovely bloke. Secondly, seriously ashamed of myself - I think I actually raved for 90 minutes maximum, and we were there for something like 11 hours. MISERABLE effort. Unexpected drug consumption rendered me pretty much immobile. Well, devoid of enthusiasm to become mobile. Thirdly, I deserve some kind of official recognition/reward/homage for getting my mate Adam (his first rave) into the club at all. He went missing after approximately thirty seconds, for about what - two hours or something? Then I had to go down and grovel with the manager to let him in again. It's quite literally a mystery where he went for those two hours. He can't remember at all. He wasn't in the club. Fcuk knows. Roaming the streets of Peterborough I suppose.
First time I've ever been at a rave where a fire alarm has gone off. This was around 7ish I think. Dean and my mate Matt had left, and it was just Adam and me. Couldn't believe what was happening. Ended up outside talking to this bizarre German bloke. Didn't understand a word he said, and he kept erupting into hysterical fits off laughter for no apparent reason. Everything was so surreal and trippy. Fire-engines turning up, Mental German Man saying weird shit. Had to say to him, "Look mate, you're really making a surreal situation even more freaky for me, can you please stop talking". Ahh it was bewildering. Grappling with reality.
As far as I know, they ended the night there, despite a good few hours remaining. Staggered around Peterborough for a fair old while trying to find the hotel, in the harsh unforgiving light of dawn. Freezing cold.
Felt so horrendous in the morning that Adam and I decided to get a cab all the way back from Peterborough to Essex (130 quid, lovely :-/ ). Couldn't face being out in public.
To summarise: An interesting night, pleasure to meet Dean, too many drugs, poor raving performance - in terms of miles covered on the dancefloor, but extremely pleased to have got the first one under my belt since coming home. Will hopefully approach the next one with a little less vigor, and stick purely to the drinks!

Ha ha! Cold sandwich! I think that was where we started to "lose" him. He unraveled after that.
Definitely doing it again. Try get a few more involved as well.
If anyone's interested, I've uploaded some pictures from the night. There's only about 50 or so:
