Hi i've just finished a new track so i thought id post it on here to see what people think, im relatively new to producing (been doing it for about a year and a half and am self taught) so any comments good or bad will be very much appreciated

The reason I ask is that it sounds as though it wanders about a bit. I'll listen again. ;)

Yeah not entirely keen on the chords used with the melody and the intro part. But youve tried doing some different stuff which is nice, keep at it.

Yea my knowledge of music theory is a bit rubbish, basically i just did wot sounded right 2 me.

Up to 0:28 it's playing F# and the noise before the Bass comes in is a D which is discordant.
Then it changes to F (the Bassline), which I presume is why you say that the track is in the key of F but the Stab sound is the discordant D.
It may be intentional but if so it's musically unpleasant, or plain wrong.
All of this is in the first thirty seconds of the track and is enough to put anyone off unless they're tone deaf.
I'm not being unkind, just honest.
As acidfluxxbass has said, you've some nice ideas in there but unless you sort out the basic 'musical' errors it won't work.

As above really. Some OK sounds and ideas in there actually but needs an overhaul on a lot of the content to get it all in key.

Thanks for the advice guys its really helpfull, i suppose i should get learning some music theory before starting on another track :-)

Just by working with music and the piano roll, you will develop an understanding of it, and your ears will automatically recognise what sounds right. Just keep at it mate :D
