Hey, how are you all doing. I was thinking of going to my first rave next weekend, because headhunterz is coming to my town and it is very rare that anyone with a hardcore background that isn't some no name comes here. I was wondering if you guys have any advice, because even though I've gone to wild places before and adapt pretty quickly, I'm still kind of curious as of what to expect.
Btw its his 2011 tour in chicago if anyone is wondering.

my guess is this is going to be more of a club type event than a rave, seeing as it's on a sunday night and you buy tickets through clubtix.com

headhunterz is hardstyle not hardcore. and yea it's more of a club even I suggest u call the place up and ask what the dress code for that night will be. They're coming here to houston but it is def a clubbish event as he is the only dj playing besides the opener and closer.

It's far closer to Hardcore than actual Hardstyle. Hardstyle now is basically watered down slowed down Hardcore (Dutch).

Ya, sorry about that, I meant to say "hard" background because it is hard but not hardcore.
I thought it was going to be a clubbing event, but I saw it on a rave forum and it said "plurr welcome" so I didn't know.
In that case, i revise my question to: what advice do you want to give to a teenager going to his first clubbing event?

just checked the events created on fb I suggest you wait until they announce the venue to make plans and buy your tickets. would suck if u bought them and it's at a 18+ venue.
but yea i suggest u stay away from the drugs, dress accordingly (or what the dress code is at the venue) and keep an open mind as there can be some weirdos there lol

It won't be energy thursdays, as that was their original venue but its down for repairs. The event says all ages welcome, not just on the clubtix page, but on the official facebook page as well and is advertised as such so I should be fine age wise.
As recommended I'm probably going to buy the tickets once the venue gets announced. Sadly, a lot of my friends hate electronic music (out of my closest friends, 2 hate it because they just legitimately don't like the sound of it, and 1 hates it because he thinks that electronic music is "unnatural" and that a requirement of techno is overdosing on drugs). However, I should still be able to get a group of like 4 people together. It is also hard to get people to come as it is a sunday...
