hehe I think there would me more of a chance of David Beckham playing football for the Australian team against England:) Hardcore is in Brisks blood, he won't quit hardcore. It will always be a part of him. He might stop the podcasts, but not making hardcore.

The same could have been said about Sharkey and Kevin Energy, right?

Sharkey and Kevin Energy quit producing? That's a big blow to the hardcore scene. They were one of the few "mainstream" hardcore DJs/producers that actually stayed true to what hardcore should sound like.

Kevin Energy is such a loss to hardcore and yeah they've both quit DJing and Producing. Kevin Energy's last ever set is at Give a Little Rave a Lot in Canada this NYE if you wanna catch it. Here's the event page on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/events/121759997924123/ I love Sharkey too but I knew what Sharkey was going through in the scene and the sort of obstacles he faced (not mentioning here for personal reasons) so while I'm sad to see him go I can also understand his decision and hope he finds happiness in his new career which will be teaching autistic kids music. But yeah, Kevin Energy makes me really sad, he was a top DJ and one of the few who understood to play different types of music depending on where in the world he was playing. I thought he was at the top of his game personally and he's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

I have thought both of them only wanted to take a break for a while, not quitting at all?

Where have you been the last 8 months? lol
And let's not call it quitting when it comes to Kevin Energy. He didn't quit he retired, but it's not an indefinite retirement. He left on a very good note. He didn't leave anything unfinished as far as I'm aware. Nu Energy reached its 100 released, he is on his final gigs of his farewell tour. The man will be greatly missed, as I met him in person and he is so great and fun as everyone else has said.
Sharkey, well he did have a farewell tour, but there was so much unfinished business with Sharkey that it pretty much seems like he quit. Wish I had the chance to meet him. Hopefully if he makes it out to HTID in the Sun this coming year, I'll have that opportunity.
Oh and forgot to add, Kevin won't be leaving music altogether. He mentioned that he'll be doing something a bit more mainstream like for television programming. He won't try and make it in another EDM genre. He said that if he can't dedicate himself 100% to freeform and hardcore, then it's unlikely he'll come back. But you never know. Only time will tell that story.

what with this 100% dedication stuff -.- I hate it.
If they got another job or another genre they produce music, who is stopping them from making a tune in their free hours. It's not like producing is a full time work? You can work on a bloody tune for a bloody day, and be free 2
