Steve Jobs, in case you don't know, was one of the founders and a key figure in the start of the Apple company. He was a visionary, and a great inspiration and driving force behind majority of the Apple products. Apple released a statement about his passing, but didn't state where or why out of respect to the family. Article: http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/steve-jobs-apple-ceo-dies/story?id=14383813 While I dislike what Apple as a company has become with their products, I had and have no qualms with Jobs. He helped push a Unix system into the main stream and, overall, most products released by Apple had some kind of innovation in their products. If you go to the apple website it has the homepage dedicated to him. RIP Steve Jobs 1955-2011.

Guess that explains why iPhone 5 hasn't launched yet.
Not an Apple fanboy personally, but Jobs was definitely a visionary. RIP.

same here...
The iPhone 5 hasn't launched yet because the iPhone 4S just came out ;) It's like a better iPhone 4 basically (same as it was with the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS).

Agreed, I feel this too...
I've never owned an Apple product, never used one and have no intentions to, not because I don't like them or feel they are bad it's just the route I have gone down I've never crossed paths with Apple or Steve Jobs, so my thoughts go to his family after a man has died of cancer. My FB is loaded with messages to the guy from people that feel like they knew him. I'm sure Bill won't get the same recognition when he goes but I respect the copious amounts he donates to charity and the speaches and support he gives.

This. The dude was a CEO of an electronics company, but the media is portraying it like Gandhi died :/
I'm also kinda irritated with all the praise how innovative he was. Apple isn't any more innovative then the next company. However, the dude was a genius when it came to reading the market.
Thoughts go to the family.
