disability(im in stage 3 of renal failure, i have an auto immune disease, i have asperger's, social phobia, bipolar etc etc) owes me roughly 10months worth of SSI in january & im hopefully getting it(i was denied back in aug.) so im roughly getting $8000 in one check.
the first thing im doing with it is getting out of $1400 in debt then buying cdj850's, a djx 750, a set of turntables, hdj 2000's & 20-40 pieces of vinyl.
also a nice set of studio monitors & an audio interface.
What would you do if you were 18 & got 8k?

Wow I didn't know you had all of that :S But glad you're posting again!
8000 is sure a lot of money! That's about 5,7K Euros, which now after I just converted it doesn't seem sooo much. But I would invest it in a new car!
But do you get this once or each month now? I'm a bit confused. Because it it's only once I'm not sure if that will be enough for all of this setup ;)

ill also be getting $800 a month after that. the dj setup & monitors cost about 4k total. so roughly $2600 to mess with without the vinyl.

And I guess I read a bit too fast: I read things like CDJ-2000s and DJM-2000, but seriously, don't get the DJX-750. It's shit. You better get the cheapest Pioneer mixer (or other big brand) even if it's only two channels, you can still plug both the turns (on phono) and the CDJs (on line) to it.

if 8k was just to show up in my bank account tomorrow I would take another week or so off work and take my boyfriend away for a few days, cause after last week I think we both deserve it.
pay my mum the next few months of my board in bulk haha.
Buy miscellaneous things Ive had my eye on but could never justify spending the money on

The DJM-700 is great, I own one myself. You can't go wrong with it!
The Stanton turntables are okay imo. I prefer Technics, but now that Cotts and Ravine own Stantons everyone wants Stantons :P hehe

i jus know that theyre decent turntables. decent enough to mix 90s happy hardcore vinyls on. :D. im so excited to start collecting vinyl too.

got a computer off my friend for $1000 and promised to pay him when i got the $
