I am very busy atm, and I probably will be so until at least next summer. I never have spent a single thought about mixing. I don't know any sh*t about mixing, producing or any comparable stuff. I simply listen to the tracks/mixes, compare it to others and create my opinion about it. And the majority of my feedback is nothing else than saying: "I like it! It's good! Blablah...".

Dys7 (and everyone) ignore what wilky and dopeman are up to - it'll just confuse things ;)
you don't have to do your mix until I PM you with the previous DJ's last song - but we havent started yet, and signup is still going on :)
theres nothing to stop a DJ working out what songs they might want to use in their 10minutes though and practising with those songs..

the way we did it last time is that before you mixed your section, you let me know the tracks you are using that way I can tell you if they have been used before or not and at the same time we keep the tracklist a surprise for everyone (the only bit you personally will know is the last song of the DJ before you (and on the off chance you pick a song that has come before)
and that worked very well last time (shut up quicksilver ;) )
However - this time round I figured we would do things a little differently, but yet keep the tracklist secret: part of the PM you get when it is your turn says this:
"If you are worried that somebody else has used one of your songs already, PM me before starting and I can confirm whether a song has been used or not (please keep the previous DJ's final track and your tracklist secret, this helps with the surprise product at the end). "
as far as speeds go - there is another part of the PM you will get when it is your turn that says
"lastly, you may modify the speed of the previous DJ's last song to fit in with
your mix HOWEVER - you must leave the first 10-20seconds of it untouched, so that it can be spliced
correctly when you send the finished product over."
in other words, you do what you like :)
