The best thing to do is e-mail whatever vendor the order was placed at, and ask for information. Demand is outstripping supply, at this point, and even if a vendor says they have stock there's no guarantee they will by the time they go to ship an order. Chasing an existing order placed before release will be a safer bet than switching horse mid race 
Just to put a few minds at rest; I have spoken with our distributor this morning and both Play.com and Amazon had stock shipped to them on time earlier this week. The altered release date does seem to have played havoc with their pre-order system and automated emails, but most orders should be shipping as normal. However it seems they all underestimated their initial order and may be awaiting restocks already to fullfill pre-orders.
The initial sales have actually been better than any other project we have done, and over 50% of the stock in existance has already been sold via pre-order. There are still plenty of units out there, but if you want to make sure you own this CD, it's probably advisable to order sooner rather than later.
We apologise again for the slip in release date, it was due to a manufacturing complication and was entirely beyond our control. I hope your CD turns up soon and that you find it was worth the wait! :)

didn't turn up this morning but I was late on the pre-order. I'm sure it'll turn up soon enough though. :) Got a bit of a drive on Friday so hopefully it'll come this week at some point.

A few people have now popped up saying it arrived, am chasing to see which vendor they bought from.
I think one of the issues, which we noticed with direct sales on "Balancing Act" is that we ship a lot (as in nearly half) of units abroad. They obviously don't turn up on release day, but likely pressure online vendors caught short of supply.
I'll keep posting any and all updates I get regarding availability, I will say that early warning signs are there that we could end up delisting well before Xmas (due to distro having no units left) which will mean it'll end up being as traumatic as HU4/Presents to get hold of after the fact.
Beginning to think we should have ordered more units in the first place, but it's a risky proposition when funds are limited, the scene and retail climate has shifted so much in the past year, and we barely manage to pay for what we did order. Heh! If warranted, we'll order more of the next project and make absolutely certain there are no release date slips. Nobody wants these units in the hands of people who want them more than us!
Massive thanks for all the support on this, and prior, projects. 2011 has been a fairly horrendous year for us in various ways so it's nice that it might end on a better note!

On topic though, I havn't pre-ordered and probably won't buy for a while, as I'm skint :P But definately looks like an album worth getting and really want to get hold of it in the future.

Play.com are now showing stock, as are most other vendors.
I've attempted to get the amazon release date issue escalated through amazon in ireland, we'll see how that goes!
