Thanks Jay! Original was a good couple years back now I think. This is pretty similar but with some of the samples/sounds changed and a completely different breakbeat section.

Cheers man! Can never please everyone all of the time can ya haha. A lot of people slated the old breakbeat section which is the main reason for this new version. :P

Banging tune! Love the melody. But imo that background piano is slightly out of tune. Btw what synth you used for wobbly bass in breakbeat part? Custom preset?

Thanks, I'll look at the piano and see if needs a bit of fine tuning. I think it was just a Nexus preset if I remember right. The Bass is a combination of layers:
Low end - Just got a pretty simple sine wave to hit the low end 30-120hz sort of area.
Mid range - 2 x Detuned Saws with a quiet square wave. This has an lfo on the filter to make it sweep up and down. I've then run this through a bit crusher with a heavy amount of crushing and distortion. It's a combination of the filter sweeping through the right spot and the correct bit crushing that gives it the "talking" or "vowel" sound. High passed it to remove the frequency area that the sine wave is already covering and low passed it to take most of the high end away as that's covered by the next layer.
High end - As above with slightly different detune settings, less distortion, more stereo width, a bigger high pass and only a small low pass to take away some of the extreme harshness added by the bit crush.
Hope that makes sense! I'm pretty ill at the moment and struggling to think straight!
