Well, I do pride myself in my cd collection, but there are still some albums out there I don't have. Is it even worth it collecting these old albums? I mean, I love the music, but does anyone else listen MAINLY to past music? Or am I the only one?

I'm sure there's quite a bit of ppl on here who go back and listen to older stuff. I don't really listen to the older stuff as much these days, but it still might be worth investing some $$$ to expand my colection. But just as today, there were some proper shit albums out, and I wouldn't suggest you go out and collect them just for the sake of having them, unless they're part of a compilation that you're trying to complete

90's hardcore albums are the only ones I tend to buy, as when it comes to hardcore thats practically all I listen to :P
have to agree with latin though, seeing as your in the states I would be a little more picky about which ones you get - seeing as its going to be more pricey to import them from the UK
I tend to pick up second hand hardcore albums in car boot sales, garage sales, second hand stores etc etc even if I already own them, its a nasty habit.
(i have a stack of doubles sitting on the shelf at the moment!) Its hard to say no when you can pick up an old Bonkers or Hardcore heaven for 50p in perfect condition!

if we exclude the bad things with Happy2bHardcore, I'd say it has nice tracklists

Yeah I shouldn't worry if anyone else listens to it. Buy them if you want them. I have a fairly extensive collection (that I still listen to) but I don't bother with a lot of albums as I've generally got most/all of the tracks on other albums or vinyl.

old skool...new skool...they're states of mind. Aside from the fact 'stuck in the past' has negative connotations, there's nothing really negative about it, or even any reason it should be considered "old". I listen to old skool happy hardcore more because I find it the most enjoyable. There's no point trying to force yourself to listen to music you don't like.

Oooooh I wants! Been trying to find the old bonkers for a reasonable price but it's tough! Last time someone sold an almost complete set with the exception of 3 of them on eBay I lost the damn bid by seconds, and I've just stopped looking after that!

Bonkers 3 Silver Edition
Bonkers 6
Bonkers 11 (just cd 2)
The Ultimate Hardcore Collection (just disc 1)
Happy Hardcore Fever 2

I had a collection called the "Bonkers 1-15 Gold Unreleased Promo Edition".. threw it out as I figured it was worthless

The most I pay for Happy Hardcore albums from the UK is about $10 (that's including shipping).

well said.
I still only play old stuff in clubs, and only listen to old stuff at home or in the car be it rave/dance/indie whatever. my record collection consists of about 3% UKHC stuff. the rest is 92 up to about 98 mixture of english scottish german dutch spanish & italian.
I like the UK records I have otherwise I wouldnt have bought them but as a style it just doesnt hit that sweet spot for me that the old stuff does.
I can agree that for any kind of scene to move on and survive the music style has to keep evolving but like you say theres no point trying to force it. It's just what you know and what you like and I guess everyones differant.
I'm happy enough in my own little bubble and not fussed about gigs as I was 5-10 years ago......and to think when I was growing up in the 90's listening to all this 'new stuff' I'd mock my dad for still listening to his fleetwood mac & eagles albums!!!
