*same old shit*
My verdict: This tune is Hardcore and urinates all over that modern Clubland shite
Peace
Smoogie, what about this tune has an excellent use of a kick drum? Its a 4/4 throughout pretty much the whole track... and almost every other track i've heard has been more crative than this.
I sent the link to myself through email so i could play it on my studio computer to see what you're always banging on about with hard kicks. The kick was not impressive. It's outdone by almost every hard genre around. This was technically speaking a modern-day soft kick.
Apart from that, the tune is terrible (and your music taste) is terrible. But you already knew that.

Going down well at a rave full of drugged up Dutchmen doesn't mean a thing. I was around when the tune came out and it sounded just as shit back then as it does now.
Quoted for truth.

Tut tut Smoogie, that was uncalled for.
I also gave you the benefit of the doubt and gave it a good listen, even though I heard it years ago.
It may well be a bit of fun but it's still crap
....and,sad to say, you are disappearing further up your own arse as time goes on. :/

He's not ignorant Smoogie, he's expressing an opinion - same as you do rather often. But unlike you, he isn't forever battering everybody around the head with his.

I agree with Smoogie, this was the beginning of hardcore. Indeed it's rubbish but you have to place it in the right context.
I looked up the tracklist of the cd Hollands Hakkuh and they were really creative with titels that day. The cd contains songs like: "Shut up", "****ing in the kitchen" and "shit on your belly". The lyrics are brilliant hahaha!
In Holland a lot of Qdance and B2S events still got an early hardcore/early rave area.

I love it how you call every other persons opinion ignorant while you fail to look at yourself

I love how you zeroed in on this.
You didn't quote the part about me testing out those "hard kicks" on a studio set up to find out that they're not really that hard at all. Or the statement about that "excellent use of a kick drum" by being a straight 4/4 through the whole track.... did you?
In all realness, i produced music professionally for ~3 years ( as well as engineering some other people's tracks to get them signed) and i listened to this track on studio monitors and a legit studio set up. I'm not ignorant, i'm actually very knowledgeable on the subject - far more so than you. Let's not all forget your attempt at producing. Does anyone still have that file?
To be fair, everyone has said this track is terrible. And it really is horse shit. And that's not just everyone grouping against you. Dean was actually around at the time you WISHED you were around and told you straight up, the tune was terrible even then. It's not a case of us being in the wrong era, you just have terrible taste.
Accept it, move on.
