Sadly the names on the back are mainly just the names on the front cover anyway nowadays..... (apart from HU obviously)

honestly you can pretty much tell what's what in the existing compilations out there by front cover only, or even just the series itself. Only the new albums you'll have to really read the back, but there's not many new ones out there coming out either.

The last hardcore heaven album was probably the worst example ive seen to date! It was ridiculous! Should of just named it 'Essential Platinum, Quosh Records and Lethal Theory present **** Everyone Else' ;)

Not to disregard the need for names, as it is the safety blanket of those names that'll mean an outfit will invest properly in promoting it and the vendors stock and feature it.

When these threads emerge, it strikes me how wildly optimistic some people manage to be. Even if half these pairings sound good on (virtual) paper, you'd need to micromanage the crap out of them to get a decent result.

This all said, I appreciate it's a theoretical exercise and as such it's fair to presume ideal operating conditions. Just don't make the mistake of trying to implement them

Which ministry comp? hardcore classics? and how many units did it sell?

Hi everyone I'm new here so please don't chew me out on this......

I say for a dream team of DJs it would be...

CD1: Gammer & Orbit1 (One of UKs finest going up against Australians badboy)
CD2: Sy & Unknown VS. Petruccio & Modulate (no explaining here)
CD3: Scott Brown & Darwin (Just imagen how intense their mix would sound being kinda like Hardcore with a dash of Gabber)

Tracks on the album will vary from CD1 being more like 180 bpm trax that will keep you dancing non stop through out the mix. CD2 will just be amazing all around I mean sy &7 unknown make amazing trax & petruccio & modulate are like the next "dougal & gammer or "styles & breeze" so they would just make a amazing mix. CD3 will focus more on the Hard and Darkside of Hardcore having Darwin & Scott brown both mixing their styles.

Sales points will be based of the cover!!!! I mean who cares if there's some random chick on the cover. I would put some thing like...... a dominatrix holding a AK47 while she feeds off a new born child. And rename the series from clubland to Total Penatration of Hardcore !

Exactly. Gammer, Kev Energy, Sharkey, Brisk, clsm, darwin, et al. They are not clubland. They are HU/Bonkers/HH. Clubland is clubland, they are not. If I had my way, I would revisit the style of clxh1&2, but the last time I had my way is the time she went down on me...

I'm pretty sure Gammer has contributed quite a lot to the CXH series.

Alright, here we go:
1. CD1 - Breeze and Styles. No need for them to have separate mixes.
CD2 - Dougal and Gammer. They make way too many amazing tunes to have to settle for one mix like every other year.
CD3 - Hixxy. As long as he doesn't get even lazier and straight up release pitched-up tracks from 15-20 years ago as his own, he should keep a mix. Maybe with Technikore as well. **** Re-Con.

2. First off, the B&S mix. Obviously this'll be electrocore and what have you. Then you get D&G's mix, which would showcase the full spectrum of hardcore. From the bass to the uplifting stuff and everything in between, maybe even some freeform if Gammer's up to it. Then Hixxy's mix is the pure cheese he's been doing recently.
Around a third of the tracks on each CD would be produced by artists outside of the five doing the mix. There are still plenty of significant names to choose from: Technikore, Re-Con, Squad-E, Al Storm, Brisk, Ham, Kurt, Joey Riot, Modulate, Petruccio, and so on. I wouldn't venture too far away from this group because practically all other hardcore artists either don't do Clubland whatsoever or are complete shit.

A few people are noting that the major identifying feature of a Clubland hardcore album is big hardcore names remixing Clubland's old trance and club music and whatever. I'm fine with that, because at least some of them turn out really well (Right By Your Side and You Got The Love on CXH8).

3. Well, it's not that big of a change from the usual line-up. Nobody's going to buy a Clubland album with a completely different line-up. Also, there are rumors that people generally prefer Gammer's music to Breeze, Styles and Hixxy. So basically, it would be keeping the same image while adding another name more people would be interested in.

I guess what I'm saying is, if any people behind Clubland are reading this, add a ****ing Gammer mix.
