Well, this post is confusing. They are great producers though, I agree on that.
The "Dubcore thing" is just a new style, I still don't understand why people hate it so much. It's like the Dub influence is going to corrupt hardcore or something. I don't mind it myself.

Sigh.........

If you take a second to look at any of the topics, you'll find several well thought out descriptions of why it's disliked.

One thing I have noticed is that many Americans who have just recently gotten into UK Hardcore and don't really collect, or even know in great deal, the older Happy Hardcore material seem to be more accepting of this dub & electro trend. I think if they were part of the music just 10 years ago, their opinion would be on the whole other end of the spectrum with ours. Wow...have I really been into Happy/UK Hardcore for 10+ years now???

Oh, and I really don't think Technikore deserves the title you are presenting him. Sure, his work on HU 5 was pretty outstanding, but his material up to that wasn't as appealing to me. If anyone deserves any credit, it's people like Sy & Unknown, Al Storm, Fracus, Darwin, Brisk, & Ham, for keeping the majority of their material as true to the genre as possible while still being imaginative in their material.

Technikore is ok. I don't think his style is that much different to whats been done in the current CXH. And although my feelings for cd1 on HU5 have improved, I still don't consider it that groundbreaking.

I think that's a good point (Kernowbeat). I have noticed how Technikore is just churning out big-riff vocal stuff recently. Lots of the tracks are good. Some are superb. I really like his collaborations with JTS, and they often remix each other's tracks for each other's labels.

Supersonik and JTS Recordings are two of the best labels for me at the moment.

I am as well. And you're dead on. The "New Sound" thing is such nonsense, and what drags me back into arguing every single time. It's A sound, not "the new sound". Nobody, and I mean NOBODY can dictate what the new sound of hardcore is, they can only give their subjective interpretation.

Al storm is the bane of all things good about hardcore and he hasn't made a decent track in 2 years. Almost everything he releases is electro fart noises and yes it's not dubcore but it's bad enough and his work on HU5 was a traversty.

I've looked at many of them, thank you. None of the reasons make any sense to me is what I'm saying. People are just over reacting about it.

I got into it around the same time you did, and yes I prefer the older hardcore to the dub stuff. I don't LOVE it, hell I've only ever really liked two or three dub influenced songs.
