I wouldn't say that they're merging, but evolving yes.

Hahaha!
Anyway....
Merging? I see no merging. If you mean the lines between different genres are sometimes a bit blurred then i agree, but that's all that's happening.

I would say the slowler 140-150bpm dance music is all coming together again. A lot of electro house, dubstep, hardcore breaks and future Jungle is all blurring together. Just need to check out the CYFI medias awesome Future Rave Anthem series to see this.
Don't really see this happening with the 170bpm stuff to be honest, people into this seem to hostile. Generally DnB kids don't like hardcore, most Hardcore kids have no idea what to do when a breakbeat tune drops. The only decent thing that seems to be happening is people are making hardcore aimed at a dancefloor again, dropping the vocals and cheesy trance. A large chunk of my mates (who have been into hardcore since 95) pretty much gave up on it around 2006 as the seen was dominated by stuff like 'your my angel' etc. They've all started listening to it again with emergence of the much talked about 'Dubcore'.

Lmao that is not surprising at all. Without USH he has nowhere to go. You could gl check out Mortis' new site. And I don't think they're merging I just think they're getting influenced from each other. I will say that there quite a bit of similarities between electro minimal and current techno. Beatport has them under three different genres yet when listening to the previews I could not tell the difference lol

DNA left the scene because people were frowning on some really forward thinking music he had made at the time, if i'm remembering this correctly.
i am really digging gammer and whizzkid - killed the rave. if hhc turned into a genre with a grittier edge to it, i for one will not be complain, and i think it's be really sad to lose a producer like gammer (not saying it'll happen, but i for one am all for reinventing the wheel).
can't want to hear some that style with a sexy female vocals in there.

Now the profile just changed the location from UK to some island, and the gender changed from male to female.
