quote: theyre stoppin people takin drugs an feeling good and having fun but theyre not doing anythin about the 3rd world!
The "3rd world" produces, manufactures, and assembles 95% of the rest of the worlds products. If you were to increase their respective wealth and possesions you would have to reduce the rest of the worlds way of life. There's no way to have tons and tons of millionaires and billionaires with extremely exorbitant lifestyles without basically enslaving billions of people in 3rd world countires and paying them nothing to produce the products that we so readily consume.
Are you willing to give up 80% of your possesions and accept a 500% increase in the cost of all the products you purchase to give some people you will never see a better way of life? Are you willing to pay $50 for each record you purchase from now on and $100 for a pill? Are you willing to give up luxuries like cars, boats, big screen TV's, and lots of bright colored clothing? Or more importantly can you convince the top 10% of the richest people in the world that control 90% of the wealth to just give it all up so a bunch of people in Asia and Africa can have better lives? I highly doubt it.
It totally sucks, but that's the way the world works and has always worked. You can't have people "winning" without having a lot more people losing.
quote: government are bastards, end of story.
People are by nature extremely self centered. There's also a basic human trait that makes everyone think that they are right and everyone else is wrong. That's what leads to the downfall of society. When a bunch of people with different values get in control and assume they are more correct than everyone else and then make laws to force their "correctness" upon everyone else. Eventually maybe all of our bad traits will be removed thru evolution, but don't look for things to change any time soon.
quote: people should be able to smoke and swallow whatever they want, who's got the right to outlaw a plant???
People in control have a right to outlaw whatever they want unless most of their population is willing to go to war to stop them. And with TV, fast food, and a generally great life most people have just become so placid that they don't care what the government does. Unless of course it directly affects them. But most laws passed don't directly effect enough people to get them stopped. And with coorporations controlling both the media and the government they can just tell the world that everything is fine and what they are doing is "for the common good" and no one will question it.
So what can you do? Well you could start a revolution, either military or on a conscious level. But the rich and powerful have set up safeguards already to prevent any change that they don't aprove of from taking effect so you'd have to be one charming and tricky bastard to pull it off! :D

I forwarded my post to my friend Ethan (www.e3-music.com) and here's his reply: (We talk politics here and there.)
"The main thing you can do, the most easily effective weapon you have is
the ability to vote. A lot of the naive pot smoking whiners don't even
go out and vote. Not just presidential. Congress/senate/etc. are the real
law passers and policy makers. Don't vote party line, because Ds are just
as ****ed up as Rs. You need to look at what people really do. Don't
listen to what they say, look at their voting record. That used to be a
hard thing to do, but now with the internet, the info that is easily
accessed. Anyone who doesn't vote has no right to complain. It is their
fault this country has so much shit in it. If only old boring people with
no fun in their lives vote, how can it be a surprise that young people get
shafted?
Plus, if you really don't like the system, if you hate the greed and
corruption and the high paying job and the new cars and the theme parks and
the sit coms and the high taxes and the mini-malls and the mix of culture
and the red tape and the crappy laws and the com-petitve market place, move to a Socialist country. The pay stinks, but the people are nice, have good health care, relatively low crime, a place to live (not extravagant, but
who cares), and a lot of them have little or no restriction on what you do
to your body (if you pick the right countries).
Most of the good ones arein northern Europe. Denmark, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Finland etc. Germany is not so bad if you want a bit of each. They are the 3rd largest economy in the world (The European Union is nearly as large as the US, Economy wise, thanks to germany). They also have the shortest work week (for a first world country) and the most paid vacation. The whole country takes the Month of August off, and there is about another week and a half of days off for the rest of the year (these are all paid vacation days). The work week is set by the government at 32 Hours. Many of the countries I have listed are not far off the mark. The US is the ONLY first world country on the planet that has a longer work week and less vacation time now than it did 20 years ago.
One example of the true benefits of a Semi-Socialist country, REAL family
values. Not the US variety that is used to restrict peoples liberties and
freedoms, but ones that actually promote people being good parents? In
Sweden everyone is entitled to paid and job protected 15 MONTH parental
leave after child birth (in Finland it is 1 month before, and extends to
1 year after). Note I did not say Maternal. BOTH PARENTS!!! Plus an
additional 3 month, unpaid, but protected leave if they want it. Also they
get the right to work 6 hour days, 4 days a week until the child is
8. They can also take an additional 60 days off a year of paid sick leave
to care for an ill child. Sweden also adds 1 week to its 4 week minimum
paid vacation for parents. I know this is not a major concern to
non-breaders, but think of the effect this must have on children (which we
all were at some point), to actually be raised by their parents, both of
them. This is just one example, one facet to what these semi-sociallist
countries do.
We are told that these kinds of things would destroy our economy (we seem
to be able to do that without anything good in return). Remember that
Germany is the third largest economy in the world with all of this vacation
time. All it would really do is take some of the stuffing out of CEO
pockets. In most other countries of the world, people are paid for the job
they do, not the rank they hold or their celebrity status. CEOs get paid
only marginally more than janitors in most european companies. The janitor
puts in a hard days work and so does the CEO. The CEO gets paid a bit more
than the janitor because the responsibilities are higher. The payoff is
that the company does well and there is pride in the job. Who in America
loves their job, is PROUD of their company, would do it for free or next
to nothing if they could still live off of it? I don't hear that too often (luckily I am one of those people). Don't forget that the best synthesizers in the world come from Germany and Sweden!
And as a last note, it is only a matter of time before England becomes
another State to the US. It is already acting like one now.
This rant was brought to you by the Letter "E" and the Number "3""
Yep. Gotta go back to work now! :D

PS: Another great way to gain back control of your country is to convince everyone to stop paying taxes all at once. If the government totally lost all of its funding overnight it would force them to restrict their highly wasteful ways and wake them up to the fact that everyone's really pissed off at them.
PPS: Did you know that the average CEO (Yes, this is average) makes over $5,192 an hour. Yes, per hour. Pretty sick huh? EDIT: And that doesn't include all the special "perks" like not paying for your nightly $4,000 dinner, private jets, free box seats to every game you wanna go to, etc..etc... etc..

If you go to Acidbreak.co.uk and click on the Results side on the right you can then click on the name "Whirl" to hear my first HHC track. It's not finished, but it came out OK. All my firends said I got ripped off with 3rd place but whatever :D Normally I make Trance/Tech/AcidTrance stuff though.

Biggup the Socialism :)
I have come to the conclusion recently that the world is a lot harder to run than it seems and the governments aren't incompetent, they're just doing the best they can in a really hard job innit.
