Looks like Australia had a fun scene.

Good times at Slammin Vinyl London in 1999. Met my fiance at this event:)

I went to that event haha :) maybe I'm in the video somewhere... the music in the video is not really accurate to what was playing in 96 in Sydney.

That Club Kinetic link with Brisk looks awesome!!! Such an up for it crowd, they don't rave like they used to:) I only wish I had been old enough to enjoy it.

Got curious when Silver mentioned he went to this Field of dreams in Australia. Pretty sure he'd remember this Hardcore set.

You need to download this. Considering it's obviously from tape and from 1994, the sound quality is unusually good. It's a shame it's so short.

So many good times and events back then. I don't think any other dance scene came even close to the Hardcore Rave scene when it comes to good vibes and up for it crowds.

Legedary club in the north, not to be confused with the new monkey in the 00's. The original Blue Monkey one of the first all nighters I think its safe to say...possibly one of the best.

Check whats on the TV behind the bar at 9mins...classy lol

7mins in DJ Adrian Street, was old then, fu*king ancient now! Still has his collection and does odd sets from time to time

So I'm guessing whoever invented the New Monkey stole the idea for the name from the Blue Monkey :P

Kind of mate yeah, the guy that owned The New Monkey was just a punter back then. The Blue Monkey dudes were big dodgy geordie gangster brothers, they also owned the Afterdark around the same time and then later The Colosseum in Stockton & Afterdark2 in South Shields. The Colosseum was raided in 96 and subsequently closed late 97 due to constant pressure from the authorities by which time one of the brothers had skipped bail to Cyprus with a little help from a certain someone...as a thankyou for that and standing in to run Colosseum & Afterdark2 he was given the later. Few years later opened his own club TNM and the rest is history.

He also recently served some time at her majestys pleasure after TNM was raided in 2006.

Pointless history lesson for you there bud lol
