Before I start Im not tryin to cos arguement or anything negative!!!
Everytime I check forums theres sumthin bad about gammer:
Every video Ive seen him put on youtube hes jus been havin a laugh, for the amount of awards hes won etc he doesn't seem to take himself seriously atall n has no ego (maybe Im wrong Ive never met him)
I understand he proply shouldn't of sed the thing bout punchin sum1 over dubstep, but whats the problem?? every1 has differnt tastes in music, I dont think theres the need for all the negativity about it, cant people jus except they like it or dont, atleast think that undescripable feelin u get from a tune u love other people mite get from a tune u dont like, that must count for summin, I dunno maybe its jus me bt I always thought hardcore was about unity, good vibes n bangin beats!!!!
fair enough if u disagree with me ur entitled to ur opion bt please dont give me abuse im not here for that.
P.S Gammer is a major asset to hardcore nobody can deny that, theres only so much sum1 will take before they say fuk it n thats the last thing we need. :)

If you actually read the Gammer discussion, its just that: a discussion. There are two sides to the issue and people (on this forum at least) talk in a fairly civil discourse. This artist worship and perceived need to shield artists from ANY AND ALL sentiment that isnt praise annoys me to no end. How is that constructive? Why do we have a forum if we cant talk voice our own opinions? The unnamed bad things you're seeing are mostly in your own mind.
Also, this constantly parroted line of "I always thought hardcore was about unity, good vibes blah blah blah" is stupid. Yes, the rave scene is (ostensibly) about uniting people and making them happy, but its not about being a Stepford smiler and pretending problems dont exist.

Jeez, give Gammer a little credit. He's not an emotionally unstable little girl, he's a grown man and from what I've seen, he's willing to take part in a little healthy discussion.

WHAT? What does awards have anything to do with this? He can be a complete dick and still win them.
Saying that he'll punch people for calling it dubcore is going to follow him his whole hardcore career.
Everyone has the right to their opinion, even Gammer. But a threat is still a threat.
If I am going to bojcotting his tracks? Like MaidenV says, he's not a little whiney girl, and neither am I (occationally :P). If he makes a track I like, I will buy it just like with everything else (yes, even dubcore).

maybe to you it's going to follow him his whole hardcore career but I'm pretty sure most of the ppl who made a big deal out of it back then don't really care about it anymore. He's still a great producer imo and a great dj, and what great artist hasn't had a personality flaw here or there? It doesn't matter to me as long as he's not doing something like raping little children in his private life.
