Seems like in 2012, will be rembered as year all the remaining UK Hardcore Vinyl labels offically went 100% digital. As far as I can see there is'nt any more Hardcore 12"s being released.
Kinda sad, though there seems to still be a lot of collectors out there. Some of the old Evolutions and Essential Platinums from the 90's sell for more than when they were originally released.
Although digital has a lot of advantages with the speed of new tunes comming out and more choice. Has made music much more disposable at the same time. Kinda miss the whole social aspect of the old record store and meeting other ravers buying tunes.
Was great it going to a store and seeing new releases up on the shelves from RAVERS CHOICE, WORLD OF OBSESSION, HAPPY TRAXX, ESSENTIAL PLATINUM, IMPACT, QUOSH, JAL, INFINITY, EVOLUTION, SCREW DRIVER, BLATANT BEATS, UNITED DANCE, GO MENTAL, HAPPY TUNES, NEXT GENERATION, RSR, FUSION, UNIVERSAL, REMIX RECORDS, NOTORIOUS VINYL

Been thinking about this recently aswell. I used to love it when payday came & me & my mate would head straight for 23rd Precinct in Glasgow to check out the latest releases.
It was always a great buzz in the place with local DJs promoting various genres. I do love the feeling of getting vinyl delivered but you can't beat getting out & involved at the local record store. Hoping to god you weren't the one left with the technic with the dodgy arm haha!

I used to love going to the record shop whenever I got the chance as there were none local. But when you think about it, if you went with 30-40 in your pocket, how many records would you of came home with compared to the amount of tunes you can download for that price?

Only time I actually bought vinyls from a live person was when I was in London last year at my very first rave, where Kevin Energy's was staying in a corner with some odd bits. Other than that, I've been ordered vinyls from IMOrecords since late 2003
