Any recommendations for people I can follow on Soundcloud for this stuff? It's not my main interest but I wouldn't mind hearing a bit more of it but don't really know where to start.

Also, is there any that isn't so hateful? Is it even possible to create some kind of melodic/uplifting version of this music?

I'm not too familiar with the speedcore scene myself, but here are some of my favourites that happen to have Soundcloud:

Thanks for NSFW warning, to be honest, if I played any of this at work they'd be disgusted ;)
I listened and followed all of your suggestions, just what I was looking for . Also, your tune is nice too.

What's SnG? I couldn't really get into this, I mean to be honest, it's hard to really define how I'm 'into' any of it - definitely puts me in an odd place.

I havn't really been interested into Speedcore, but when melodic tracks occure, I need to surrender.
SFOB (Speedcore Front Ost Berlin) produced my favorite Speedcore track and even posted in this forum:

That SFOB track could have been fantastic with the drums at half tempo and a couple smaller changes.
In my opinion most music or "music" gets a little pointless beyond 200bpm, at least with a four by four kick. Some breakbeat (breakcore?) tracks can be pretty good around 200bpm or slightly above, but mostly it's just "look ma, I can crank up the tempo!" and no real content of any kind.
Splittercore and extratone are just absurdly ridiculous. I guess some people still manage to see the "contemporary art" aspect of it though.
Final note: Passenger of Shit is pretty funny.
