Anyone been to one of these yet? Saving up for tickets for Defqon 1 2013 and considering it'll be my first time out of the country (yeah yeah :P) was wondering if anyone could share information about it. Tried looking through the internet but it seems to be well hidden in terms of finding info on drugs there (specifically)
But yeah just wondering if anyones been, and was it good? Looked at the aftermovies and they look AMAZING but of course aftermovies are over exaggerated and probably don't give a true representation of just how good it really is ;)
Also, any tips on plane tickets? Looked online and the lowest I could get the price was 160, seems a bit steep considering the ticket itself is 160... Any tips on getting that price down, or will I just have to live life poor over there? haha

Been to the Oz one twice. Did like it, but my tastes were changing subtly and the music was changing majorly in a direction away from where I was going. Didn't go last year don't plan to this year.
What shits me off no end is that instead of q-dance having 3 or 4 different events per year night long like they used to, now it's only the one and it's some daytime shit.

Personally I prefer it being a once a year thing, and I'm sure they do too... Much bigger turn out for the one single event, means they don't have to fork out for 4 events :P Besides, I couldn't afford to go anymore than once a year, and that's what other events are for anyway ;)

Can travel for a tenner or so each way to many places in Europe from England. Although obviously you don't get to be fussy if you are paying that much. Travel within England costs more.

It's retarded. It's not a rave either. Not by any stretch of the imagination. It really is just a festival.
To their defense, the chosen location has no reasonably available (for 10-15 thou people) public transport after 11 or 12 am. But seriously, it's shit. Their night events were sweet, some of the best gigs I've gone to.

No never been, but would love to do a dutch rave  i know thunderdome are holding an event in december in amsterdam, which i might look into, but in all probability i won't be going

It's an awesome festival ... Stages are bigger bolder better ... people everywhere ... so many dj's .. there's too little time to see all the dj's ...

If I was lucky enough to go to holland for a rave I would definately pick Dominator, the lineup at last months was amazing!
