When i take a look on current releases i have the feeling that dark / emotional hardcore is kinda dead since two years.
Today I browsed through some soundcloud pages from popular artists and mostly found clubland'ish, experimental ukh with a few electro / dupstep elements. Even freeform kinda sounds happy or unmotivating nowadays.
The trend seems to be "Happy, Experimental, Uplifting and Party Hard"... but what happend with the other, dark side? Just remember "See you on the other Side" , "Let me In (Darwin Remix)" and "Round & Round (Breeze & Styles Remix)"...
Imo. the last release with emotional, uplifting elements was "Universe" from Darren Styles (even though, i am not a big fan of him since he pushed the clubland sound in the scene).
Maybe i am outdated or i lost essential knowledge about the last two years of releases... but, did i missed any releases, artists or even albums with content as dark as the mentioned tunes or my Shin no Noir sets series (like: http://www.happyhardcore.at/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2456)?

It's still around you're just not looking hard enough. Hardcore Underground still has some of that style, especially in Fracus & Darwin's Point of No Return album. Also there's always freeform.

uh
That aside yeah freeform is probably your best bet. Douglas is a good producer for that, like Jonestown or his remix of See You On The Other Side. And a lot of things Darwin does would probably count too; Magnetised, Hard To Find, Chime, his remix of Skeets - This Moment.
Hell, most of what Petruccio & Modulate are pushing is not exactly "happy" and is sorta dark-ish but still "emotional" sorta kinda. Good example:
Seconding this (also lol Whizzkid sounds like he lost his voice)
That seems to happen pretty often with Whizzkid lol. He performed with no problems Saturday night during HTID In The Sun this year, but apparently the yacht party that sunday afternoon totally wrecked his voice. He could barely be understood that Sunday and Monday night. Meanwhile MC Enemy performed every night (including day parties) and yet he had no voice problem. Same thing with MC Static he was around for most of the event.
Also I know Whizzkid has had a lengthy career in hardcore, but he really should be slaughtered for speaking while Molly is singing!

These tunes have energizing and dark melodies with mostly stunning vocals. And that's what I am really looking for. Each track has an melancholy til apocalyptic mood.

It depends how hard you look in hardcore.
That's the problem: After browsing soundcloud pages from well-known artists (producing darker stuff from time to time like Styles and Darwin) and some topics about upcomming album releases, i found tunes which did not match with the requirements - for example, the mentioned tunes in this topic have slight dark tendencies, but they still sound happy / partyish most of the time; that's the reason why i opened this topic.
I just have the feeling that the scene goes with that "Party Hard ONLY"-trend. That's probably good for my other set series, but it's monotonous on the mood side.
PS:
It is also possible to browse through ALL digital releases... but that is overkill, so i ask the experts here first.
I have to admit that I'm not fimilar with all newcomers (since 2010), labels and subgenres, because I'm more into Psychill and Progressive Trance atm.; maybe there are artists producing the stuff i am currently looking for.

I created the list with the tracklists of SnN I, II and VIII, I knew "Distant Dreams" and used it in Part VII as mashup with "Second Wave" from Scott Brown. But yeah, you got the idea what I am looking for :D

"Transcend - Zero-G Fire", "Endemic - Hurricane" and "Aryx - Polaris" got my attention. All of them have kinda dark melodies :) Someone have to remix "Qygen - Past Blaster" like Darwin or Lost Soul, to make it more catchy, atmospheric and less experimental - great potental tune though.
Ty for linking / posting it, have to follow you on soundcloud ^^

SnN?
SnN = "Shin no Noir", it's one of my set series, including dark / melancholy tunes. Some sets are still in play on di.fm. I temporally cancelled this set series because i cannot re-use old tunes all the time.
