I just noticed this song on Beatport with a date of 2012-6-25, discogs says it's from 2012 but didn't Nu Foundation pass last year? How could a song remixed by him get released this year unless somebody already had the track?

Produced a long time ago and either wasn't scheduled for release or was scheduled and has only just been released. So, as you said, it already existed.

There's lot of stuff from Mikey that's been did before man, and this track is something of that.

Bit confused by how he had so much stuff signed to various labels which has taken them all so long to release tbh. Was all this stuff actually signed?

Not that simple sometimes. Apparently there is a lot of material that's been finished for certain labels and they are owned by those labels.
There was a big issue on Rhythmic's FB page about some of these tracks. Alan offered them up for free in a package but it was only up there for a few minutes before some girl named nikita came on and a huge fb fight ensued. What tracks those were and what's become of them I don't know. But more than likely they will never see the light of day.

He shouldn't be giving out tracks for free that he can't possibly get permission to do.

Purely in ethical terms, the idea of selling someone's tracks post-humously is far more unsettling than giving them away for free.
I'm not trying to make any accusations because I don't know the facts at all, just commenting on the sheer volume of Nu Foundation tracks that have been released over the last 18 months -- probably more than what was released in the 6 years(?) he was active.
