Question: A lot of early HHC tunes from the 90s didn't have Video Clips, is this because they weren't popular enough or artists just didn't have enough time to make them?

No, it was only in holland that hardcore was commercially viable at the time - whilst dance music has always been popular in the UK and enjoyed mainstream success; hardcore hasn't.

Yeah, it was only a few Oldskool tunes that hit TV with videos and such over here. Nothing 170bpm + from what I remember. Pretty sure some of the newer stuff gets play time on Clubland TV now but that's about it.

Why would it need a video?

Just the odd bit from the Clubland Xtreme albums as far as I'm aware. It is mainly commercial stuff.

I would personally love to see a video made for something like Gammer's Switch or some equally minimal "electrocore" tune. I wonder what they'd fill it with..
(Don't get me wrong, I boned Switch and it remains to date my go-to double drop tune but it's hard to see what you'd make a video out of)

Oh yes because we all know how much we've all praised darren styles for his music videos :/
Honestly we would bitch more than praise it. It doesn't need videos, but I do have to say some tracks would be interesting to see what creative videos would be made for certain tracks.

So true lol. I don't get music video's either. Completely pointless. As far as I'm concerned they only exist because to play music on TV with just blankness would otherwise just be radio. At best they are just an afterthought.

Jon Doe/CLSM did a music video a couple of years ago, but if I remember correctlt that track was more lyrical than most Hardcore usually are, unless we dragin the Recon & Demand album into the equation.

Well, I enjoy all most of the existing the existing low cost production music videos of Hardcore in the 90's, but since "music TV channels" started to erase music from their program and replace it by faked silly non-sense-making American wannabe-teenager series crap and telling the people what music they should like, I started to ignore them.
I really like CLSM's music videos!

Hey Silver, i've just been listening to your CD mix way back in 2004. It's still sounding quite fresh as ever!
http://www.discogs.com/DJ-Silver-2-Kevin-Energy-Hardcore-Tsunami-2/release/285384 I think you changed the name of the CD because of the 'Tsunami". which was quite a coincidence!

I've seen one Tool music video, and it was back in 2001 (not that I've watched much music TV since). It was really weird lol but it was cool.
