I just felt like listening to Slide Away again, and since I've heard the original on the first CXH for years before the new remaster on CXH7 I'm quite aware of the several other changes occurred (like the kick, bass, etc)... but I just switched to the original in the middle of listening to the CXH7 one and it feels like they have even changed the key of the song!? Or is that just due to a slight pitch up in the original?

You know what - as soon as I started listening I realized that I'd noticed this before. Definitely sounds different.

A different key would mean re-sung vocals and I'm not sure that they would have done that? Although I've not heard so can't comment.

Or perhaps they did something more logical like pitch shift the tune :)
If the CLX is a mix and CLX7 isn't, it's more than likely the pitch is different because the CLX mix tempo was different than the original tune.

Make that man a sandwich, I think he's got it!
I don't believe that's a real saying. Sorry.
