This was going to be a 2 hour mix of the best tunes of the last 5 years to mark the end of Nu-Rave radio as my last show was ruined by technicals. In the end I decided to make a series of mixes as there are too many tunes I wanted to play to fit into 2 hours. Here's part 1. Enjoy.

http://soundcloud.com/ruined-jon/bestofnuravevol1

1) Jingle Breakz - Oneplayz
2) La Voie Le Solei (Barton classic remix) - Subliminal Cuts
3) Nuke Rave - Prove Correct (Uppacutz)
4) Rave Be Good to me - Simon Holmes (Sharkfin)
5) Take Me Away (Luna C and Enzyme remix) - Jimmy J and Cru L T (KFA)
6) My House (Runningman remix) - Rob Malfunktion (Metro breaks)
7) Ruff - Aems
8) The Wobbler (Turntable pivot) - Reckless and Sous Chef (Nu-Basement)
9) Dreadnotes - Mulder (Cue Burn)
10) Liquid Technology - Runningman (Firewall)
11) Bob The Builder - Screwball
12) Nasty Habits - Simon Harris (Paranoid)
13) 1 for da raverz - DJ Sike (Pitch control)
14) Rudeboy Runaround - Darkus (Hardcore Projektz)

What's happened over at Nu-rave? Just noticed this in your post and went to check the site. Looks like John Kidson is no longer the owner of Nu-rave and has gone to start a new project: "Bass Music Movement"? Such a shame. It was always a good site and a great shop. Saying that though, personally I feel the arse has dropped out of the nu rave scene these days. Seems to have all gone dub and future jungle

The site has a new owner, Jon James who is involved with another radio station, so the radio side of the site is going, and Nu-Rave is going back to it's old format and getting the forum back. I felt when Kidson got rid of the forum it was a mistake. All the radio djs have started music 4 the people which should be launching by the end of January to replace Nu-Rave radio.
There's loads of good hardcore breaks stuff out, like Goodtimes, Rave Stylee, and Kode5 records, plus a lot of the good nu-rave type stuff gets labelled and lumped in with the 'future jungle' stuff now. I can see the more ravey stuff picking up again this year though.
The ravedownload store is picking up again now, but most stuff seems to sold in the breaks section of trackitdown.
