been raiding an old hard drive and come across a load of tunes i made when i 1st started producing thought i would throw the feckers up on yt lol

btw some are really shit but i thught i would put them up just to show how far i've come in 6 years and with little money or help most of these tracks were made on a broken old laptop my ex girlfriend gave me it was a complete wreck and i could barely see what i was doing
how much do you think i have improved judging by these tracks??

Agreed that the tracks you made now are much better than before.
But tbh, your early tracks do sound great in some ways, at least they can be mixed in and out quite easily.
At least they don't turn out to be a laughing stock like my early tracks, so much that I had deleted most of them from my soundcloud quite some time ago

The last 2 tunes sound good to me, not particularly indistinguishable from actual 90's tunes which in software is quite a task. The 3rd tune is distorting by the way. The first tune would sound a lot better i think if it had half the kicks (standard Hardcore pace).
Edit: Just checked out your new stuff. You clearly have a talent for making proper Hardcore imo. Not heard anything else like it for a long long time. It's not just the style you're producing in but the mixdown is very clear and everything is well balanced, and a good choice of sounds. Hence i think you have a talent for it. The first tune on your soundcloud page is really good. The kick/bass sounds really good and especially the hi-hat. And everything really. Which is hugely refreshing given that almost everything else i hear is massively over compressed, over limited etc...

thanks i never compress anything i tried a few times but i never noticed the differenc because i had shit speakers i'm now using my pc and 42" tv screen to produce and evrything sounds completly different i made the 1st 2 tracks on my soundcloud using my pc after my laptop broke still trying to get the hang of using a mouse it feels really unnatural to me having only ever produced using a laptop

Man i would absolutely hate not being able to use a mouse. Everything would take forever.

it's freakin hard especially when i try to automate stuff it never does what i want and because i'm using my tv as a screen i have to use a ps3 game case for a mouse pad it's ok for surfing the web but my god it's annoying when producing i'm not used to using one hand so everything takes about 4x as long plus because my tv screen is so large the playlist grid looks really wierd and it ****s with my eyes at times
