I got that feeling too, but in a way, I would be happy to see hardcore stay underground, (no offence to any aspiring dj's/producers) but some of the magic is lost when the music gets commercialised aka what pendulum etc did to DnB and the whole clubland thing, actually seeing a lot of non scene pssheads turning upto at events and the overall vibe becomes a bit diluted. Or maybe it's just me becoming a bit older and jaded (AKA that scene in human traffic)

No, but Hardcore already became commercialised a long time ago. What we have now is exactly what you just described about DnB etc.

Maybe Phill Taggart was even paid to say he liked it??? Just to get other poeple to think "Hmmm even this indie guy liked it, im going to buy some hardcore"
as its on the BBC, thats very doubtful, I'm more inclined to think (well hope) that the music has been pigeonholed for so long, he may have thought this isn't to bad!

Well no shit! You think that the hardcore takeover at rough tempo radio Sunday was just done out of boredom?
Clearly they are doing everything they can to make it a success, as I imagine that the last one did not do so well. Maybe the CXH franchise was in danger of being shut down by AATW and CXH9 is the last for them to appease the company into investing more time and money into the series.

Lol. That's quite an extreme speculation mate! I'd imagine it's just something that was appealing to both parties (i.e. hardcore and the BBC), obviously suggested by Kutski though. It's part of a series of other docs too, so it's not like it's totally manufactured for hardcore anyway. Who would do that for hardcore anyway? haha
