I don't have a link to the track I'm looking for, so this is a long shot, but I'll do my best to describe it.

The track I'm trying to ID I've only ever heard from one event - and it was played by DJ Supreme at an event (or a nightclub) called Adreneline. Now I'm assuming the track is called 'Forever Young' and contains the lyrics "may your wishes all come true, hope you find what you desire". The track is NOT Antisocial - Forever Young, although it contains the exact same lyrics and female vocal. But this track came before the Antisocial version, as the DJ Supreme set was recorded in November 1995. It has more of a 4-beat style to it as was popular in 1995, and is more piano led than the Antisocial track.

Like I say this set was the only time I ever heard this version of Forever Young - once the Antisocial track was out it was that track that was played by everyone.

Extremely difficult one to ID I know but I'm taking a chance someone knows the track I'm describing!

Could it be Darwin - Mirror / Coming off the Wall / Stay Forever Young? I think there's multiple versions of it he did.

That isn't the version I'm talking about but we're getting closer to it! I wonder if it's maybe Sunset Regime's remix? It was certainly from around the time of that vinyl - and the track I'm trying to ID certainly has an RSR flavour to it.

There is another version that has the piano riff and bassline from that version and has a later production style but it probably isn't that because i assume that one is from 97/98. It's probably just an unreleased version.
I found this but it's clearly the wrong thing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVM8l0EMUyM

This is why I assumed trying to ID this track was gonna be a nightmare! There are so many remixs out there of different original tracks called Forever Young (Sunset Regime, Antisocial, Interactive, and Jimmy J & Cru-L-T etc).

I'm trying to track down a sample of the Sunset Regime remix, because the Billy Bunter & D-Zyne remix you posted is pretty similar to the one I'm after, and I'm assuming there is an obvious RSR link here between the Sunset Regime remix and the fact it was DJ Supreme who played it.

I can't make an mp3 because I have no idea how to make an mp3 from a tape sorry. I'm currently trawling online for a sample or something similar, if I can find one I'll let you know.

But we know it has nothing to do with the Interactive or Jimmy J & Cru-L-T ones as it's a different vocal. Antisocial and Sunset Regime are the same people (plus Hixxy). As for recording it's literally as simple as getting a jack-to-jack cable, plugging one end into the headphone socket of the tape player (or line out if it has one. It makes no difference) and the other into the line in or mic socket of your computer. Then open Sound Recorder and press record.
If it was played out before all the others came about then it might just be a pre-release version that never got released.

Oh yeah I forgot Antisocial was Sunset Regime and Hixxy! Thanks for the info for recording that's good to know - recording isn't my strong point don't know much about it.

As for the track I think you're probably right and it's a pre-release version, because I have a ton of tapes etc from 1995 and never heard it on any other set. But I'm having a search regardless!

Found it - http://www24.zippyshare.com/v/16316645/file.html

It's Sunset Regime's remix of his own track Forever Young - on the same vinyl as the Billy Bunter & D-Zyne remix. I really like this remix as it's pretty laid back with its breakbeat style and piano led vocals.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction by posting that vinyl - I'd have struggled to find it otherwise!

No problem. My favourite version is still the 98 mix! I have heard this mix before but wouldn't have guessed that it's the one you wanted.
