I would love to contribute to this thread and upload some sets but I wouldn't want to get myself or the forum in trouble.
What are the rules and what can I get away with? For example can I get away with uploading a HTID set from 2008? (Pretty sure I already know the answer to this)

If you uploaded a set to your personal YouTube account, put all the usual disclaimers in the description and state that you'll gladly take it down if required - I can't see there being a problem. At the very worst, a complaint will be made and the video will be removed by YouTube and you'll get one (of an allowed three) strikes. I don't think there's any danger to the site whatsoever.
There are a ludicrous number of sets up on random/individuals' accounts on YouTube these days. I wouldn't worry too much matey. :-)

If you are worrying about this then ask artists per twitter or facebook for permission :)
But when you look on soundcloud e.g. the big names start uploading sets more often, so i guess you dont get in trouble as long as you dont upload the newest htid's right after airing.

if you intend to post a movie here, it's all fine. If the uploader doesn't want people to view the video somewhere else but on youtube, they can disable it.
