It's another one of those questions that is completely subjective. I don't think any Hardcore is sad.

The track is pretty sad but its even sadder that it's been unreleased since 1999 and Shimamura told me he dosen't plan on releasing it.

Don't blame him. Sounds pretty amateur compared to his current standard!

There's rumoured to be a sad Hardcore track on the forthcoming PPF 2 album due out later this month....

Good question, but havn't the British started to call it simply Hardcore, while the Dutch claim that Hardcore is their Gabber?

The name changes from generation to generation, but the sounds stays the same. Genres discussions sometimes make me so confused in my head.

It's been called UK Hardcore since 2002. But old stuff is still Happy Hardcore.

In this case the sound changed. So the name did too.

I still think the slightly changes that were caused by the technical developments in production are not enough to justify being a new genre with a new name.

It makes no sense to continue calling a music happy that isn't specifically happy. The name of the genre didn't change as such. A new variation was created. Happy Hardcore is still Happy Hardcore.

These got me through some tough times:

DJ Kaos - Sorry

No Left Turn - Hazel Eyes

Audioscape and Sparky ft Kelly - Who's Sorry

Hixxy - Brother

Ultravibes - Lies

Brisk & Joey Riot - Sometimes It Hurts (Joey Riot Remix)

Joey Riot - Forget The World

As an interesting side note, my parents made me go to church til I was 16 and this tune is ripped from a church... Well, hymn for lack of a better word, tune and lyrics are the same although some words are missing. Random fact for y'all.

My vote for a sad song would be heavens above even though it has already been mentioned.

Interesting. Any idea what the original is? I find it impossible to imagine as that kind of music lol.

theyve just used the chorus

awesome to hear a hardcore version!
