yea it can be awesome. but the database for anything UK hardcore from 2011 onwards is rather shit. not sure why that is but I can never find info for any of my recent purchases from a lot of labels. At least the database for the older stuff is really good.
Why dont you contribute? Its built on user info. Add any releases that are missing. Its always been bias toward Vinyl and noone can keep up with the sheer volume of shitty Mp3 releases.
there was an other thread about this: discogs moderators seem to be douchbags about digital releases. they dont let contributors upload information about non-physical products because "if you can't hold it in your arms it's non-existence"

I put my whole digi label on there with no issues. Just make sure the info is correct and you wont have any issues.

I'm pretty sure it was your opinion about a month ago :P Haha! Or someone who posted on that thread regarding the matter.

It came up in conversation not long ago - but you must be mistaking me for someone else as I've never held that view!

I don't know when the typical Dutch/German style exactly started, but I'm sure you can narrow it down to 1993, around the time when Westbam released "Celebration Generation" and Marusha released "Go Ahead" on Low Spirit Recordings. It's still labeled being Techno, but I think the term "Happy Hardcore" was very unknown back these days.
Raver's Nature startet back in 1992 (Bash), but their sound developed more from the British Hard House scene and I think they started to produce the Dutch/German style not before the big Happy Hardcore wave back in 1994 (Fire Recordings).
EDIT: Deleted the Scooter part as "Our Happy Hardcore" was released in 1996, but I am prettty sure I heard this term the first time in 1994.
