Thought I'd give it a go. :) Finding it hard to tone down sounds I think haha. Love to get some feedback if anyone wants to let me know what they think!

Thanks a lot mate. :D I've been working on trying to clean up my mixes, glad it's showing through as I have barely any treatment on the wall at the moment!

Like it a lot, really unusual sound. Don't think it really fits in the trance mainstream though. While the melody was certainly trancy in it's tune and flow/structure, between the synth and bass line it almost sounded like dance/eurodance of the late 90's?
Either way, cool stuff.

Thanks mate. :) Yeah I was going for something chilled. I did try and toughen it up and make it Hard Trance but the melody didn't seem to suit the extra speed.

Thanks mate. :D My Trance knowledge pretty much consists of late 90's classics and Hard/German Trance so that's probably where the influence lays. I've no idea what modern Trance is even sounding like these days. Probably slightly electro like everything else haha.

As Lilley say, pretty unusual sound you've got yourself there mate. Nothing wrong with it, at all, though. Quality.

Ahh actually, it really reminds me of something. Fcuk, what is it. Ahh I dunno, but it's good! Reminds me of being 14 or 15 and listening to Trance without knowing what it was or who it was by or anything. Just really enjoying it.

Nice work Gaz :-)

The bit after the little intro kind of reminds me of Gouryella - Gouryella for some reason. It's not the same but just as that feeling.

The Electro loop already has started when I began to ignore Trance back in 2004. It should be in its last breaths by now. If you still invest time to dig for good Trance you'll find it. Armin Van Buuren still produces good tracks and surprisingly hasn't flushed himself down the toilet like the other Dutch producers. Plus there are quite a few exotic producers from the U. S., Asia and moderated Arabic countries (e. g. Egypt and Lebanon), who produce good Trance. To my opinion one of the current best producers is Daniel Kandi from Denmark.

Nice track by the way (and no: it doesn't sound too slow)!

Not at all like electro really, not unless electro has changed quite significantly. Melody progression is typically slow without much variation, nowhere near the energy of 98-03 and nowhere near the technicality of mid 90's progressive trance. Rather uninteresting really.

Thanks mate. I always think I should spend more time referencing other tracks bit perhaps it breeds a slightly more original sound when I don't bother. :P

Haha I'm glad. I think you can only get a few more bpm out of it before the riff just sounds wrong IMO. I will check out Daniel Kandi, nice one!

Yeah I see what you mean actually! Just the sort of Trance I like so no surprise I guess. :P

I just mean all the bass sidechaining and gritty digital waveforms really, seems to have worked its way into most genres now! Doesn't sound like I'm missing out on too much then. :P Sure there must be some peeps doing it properly though.

I have trouble producing above 140 these days. Not that it's a problem. I don't want to anyway. As the years have gone by the tempo at which i produce has reduced. It's generally in the 130's now. And that sounds right to me.

Agreed with the others, a really happy, uplifting trance sound which is quite unique, personally I love it!
