It's the more comfortable way because you need one mausclick less or / and don't need another tab. If forum could handle drag&drop you would need only one mouseclick. Surely it's much easier to copy and paste a link than it is to copy and paste a link, edit out the first part and then add the youtube code thing? :P

Youtube embedded method:
0) start at youtube tab
1) Click on adress bar
2) Doubleclick on last part from youtube link (if it's something like "gJ1Mz7kGVf0" without any -)
3,4) Strg+C
5) Switch to hhc.com tab
6,7) Strg+V
8,9) Doubeclick on copied part (if it's something like "gJ1Mz7kGVf0" without any -)
10) click on
11) post new reply

Ofc. you dont need steps 9,10,11 but people tend to not click on links without description!
Other users tend to use youtube method because:
1) they don't give a damn about forum ("if it lags -> new thread")
2) They don't need to click on click and wait before
2.1) another tab comes in and
2.2) load video
