It'll only be for a one-time-thing....

And i can't really name names yet as nobody wants to be officially mentioned yet...

But a couple of us were speaking about MAYBE re-doing or remixing some of the older, classic, popular tunes (as the constant wanking has led our forearms to become peculiarly strong - and therefore - made us better musicians and producers) and putting them together for a free (at the moment) album.

It's important to understand that this is all conceptual and hypothetical at the moment... Depending on the response to the idea.

Between us all, we do own the rights to all the tracks we released, so there's no problem from a legal standpoint. And we're all busy so it'd be a side-project in our spare time... So it might take a while.

But I volunteered to dip my toe in the proverbial hardcore-scened water to see what the response would be and to go from there.

So far we had the idea of making it a drum and bass/hardcore/drumstep hybrid. Some tracks maybe being one genre, some tracks maybe covering all those genres, we don't know. All we know is that it's an idea. An idea we can see what everyone thinks of.

So let's have it bitches, What do you think?

If you like producing drumstep / d&b then rather try to join futureworld because you guys would do the same thing like the "top guys"; you wouldnt stand out imo. If Breeze don't respond then go for an restart.

I liked the first releases from AWF.

edit: Don't like heavy influenced drumstep/d&b-hardcore at all but that's just my opinion.

Sounds good to me mate.

If you're going to go for it though, it might be worth doing two "discs". One traditional style remixes/updates, and one with the more DnB/Wubby stuff.

People are gonna fcuking whinge their tits off otherwise.

Orbit1 wont be back as long as hardstyle pays more, tried to get him to do a remix for me but he wanted hardstyle remix money for it.

Also pissed him off unintentionally when I asked him how he got so many likes on facebook so quick :(

Do you mean, don't do something only a handful of people are doing, but to stand out just do the same old stuff everyones done for the last ten years?
I think it sounds like a good idea, i'm more likely to buy something with a good variety of styles on there.

I think it's planned (if it ever materialises) as a free album, Jon.

Unless you're talking more generally?

I actually meant label policy:
If AWFs strategy is to copy Futureworld then they should rather join them, only when there is a chance Breeze accepting; if not then go for an restart.

Some examples:
Rebuild Music is focusing on newcomers and very limited CDs
Hardcore Underground is one classic "major label" in the scene, focusing on solo albums right now
Futureworld, more like the new "rebel label" with top guys, focusing on mixing Drum/Dubstep/Dubcore.

It looks like some guys behind AWF are focusing on this? "Futurewold Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V".
They need to do something different compared to other labels

You're being a little dramatic mate. They're talking about doing a one-off download-album style project of remixing a few really popular AWF classics. They don't need to worry about being seen as competition to FutureWorld and all that crap.

*realised that own statement has flaws* -_-'

I apologize, I overlooked that bit somehow :/ If it's just an free album, then they should do whatever they want to, but if they plan of redoing AWF as label then my worries about their label policy are still legit

I am almost 98% certain that AWF isn't coming back as a full on label lol maybe this idea is going to be a revisited thing with the tracks and that's it.
