Yea, lets use the "technology is killing the music" arguement that the RIAA has been using since the early 2000's (that's 1900-1999), yet the keep on selling more and more?

****ing hell. Is that a standard kind of percentage for these stores, does anyone know? Because that seems extortionate.

Beatport takes 50%. Itunes takes 30%. I've spoke to several label owners & producers about this. Starstruck refused to sell Australia With Force on TID because they wanted to take a ridiculous amount from sales. :x

Thats absolutely scandalous if true. The artists are the ones who do all the work, tid do **** all. I'd refuse to sell my tunes on TID if I was an artist

It is unacceptable yes but people don't have to use it. Not sure why they do if it is the case.

I would imagine the only reason labels do use TID is because of how hugely popular it is with DJs purchasing the latest music. I don't know how many real alternatives there are, but I doubt there's a huge number for hardcore these days.

TID, Junodownload, Beatport, Itunes, Beatbucket
i guess labels only upload their stuff to tid because they use all platforms anyway, to reach as many customers as possible

Could sell your own stuff on your own site for free. If it really mattered. And people knew who you are.

Here's a question:
How many Hardcore tracks do you think are downloaded/purchased on TID on a single given day?

At the moment thats probably about right because most of the tunes out just now are distinctly average at best. Once the anthems start coming out that will probably increase considerably
