Could be useful if you are moving to another country and want to be more involved with local accents, or just for parties to imitate friends etc. :P

I caught myself talking a bit differently when I was around the Brits in Spain and in Canada. I thought it was all in my head but even on video I can tell I'm trying to sound like them lol. I did it with the locals in Spain and Mexico too, but not so much in a drunken state but I think to better my Spanish.

pretty good attempt at a scottish accent lots of english people i know try and speak scottish and fail lol that guy sounded like someone from edinburgh most english people can understand it because they speak a little clearer than people from fife, glasgow, dundee, aberdeen etc i've been told i speak really fast and english people have no clue what i'm talking about lol

Interesting video. Steve - I get called Canadian all the time, and when I worked in a call center after spending a weekend or two up there I'd actually have angry callers thinking the center was in canada. I also managed to make at least one Brit start speaking like an american. It's funny what happens when you spend enough time talking with people from another country. :) I started learning french by the end of a music festival in quebec too.

Yeah, accents are funny old things. My sister has lived in New York for the last five or six years. She has acquired some seriously fcuking annoying twinges in her accent! To be expected, though.

Nah man, not all countries have good accents when they speak English. As a Norwegian I have to assimilate. Scottish seems legit. Maybe Australian, too.
