Got to be the early ones for me, that was more my era (Not even sure I've listened to all the later editions...I know shame on me, I'll try better next time).

It's already been tainted. By AATW Bonkers and maybe even Zonkers lol

Mmm, yeah, true. I don't even think of the AATW one when I think of Bonkers! Weird.

It's not actually that bad, to be fair.

Oh funny you could barely speak for yourself let alone anyone else.

I have to say the last half of Bonkers because those are the ones I'm more familiar with. Nothing against the older ones, but I'm sure had I discovered the music a couple of years earlier I'm sure I would have said those.

And I don't think that Sharkey will ever let anyone mess around with Bonkers ever again after the poor sales of AATW Bonkers. And I don't think he will ever sell the rights to it, but I think you could license it from him just like AATW did, although I don't think he'll take any requests for it unless you have financial proof you can make a physical album happen.

Plus, why the hell bother? There's Hardcore Underground and countless other digital-only free albums out there with the same formula. Yes Bonkers is the elite amongst UK/happy hardcore compilations, but in the end it's just a name and any album is capable of using the same successful formula that Bonkers has. HU has done that and I am completely satisfied with them leading the way and keeping hardcore mixed albums alive :)

Scott's the reason I mix more than 1 style per mix :P

I was talking of a Zonkers-like set of mixes, but properly done. Nothing fancy, nothing financially. Only for fun, which was the idea behind Zonkers originally.
And even if I/we where to make a physical release of it idea, none of our names are really up to par with the original Bonkers djs :P

Keep the faith! I believe it will happen.

My dream if it returns it will be CD 1 and CD 2 set by Hixxy and Sharkey again for old times sake to get the ball rolling again.

If it happens i will probably go totally bonkers

I wish...I mean, I know cd sales are not what they use to be, but if Bonkers returned, it could feature ONLY upcoming unreleased material to keep the peeps hearing what's coming!

2000's for me- 12 being the first one :) Great CD's always great seeing a colourful advert on the TV for a new Bonkers with all this fast, fun music. Shame we don't see anymore but thankful these days we have variety with comps like HU.

How does sharkey own bonkers anyway? has he owned it from the start, or did he somehow get the rights of react at some stage?

It was bonkers 9 that got me properly into hardcore so has to be the 2000's for me. Have listened to the old bonkers and do like them especially bonkers 1 but prefer the UK hardcore sound to happy hardcore. Bonkers 9 - 15 are all amazing. Scott Browns mixes from 9 - 13 were legendary, such a shame that he went so rapidly downhill after. Hopefully his new stuff comes close to the standard he set back in these days.

Bonkers 2, 15, 16, 17 and Best of Bonkers are my favorites.
