Mornin' all, this weekend I set up a new youtube channel hosting all the TV adverts for UK based hardcore cds - previously you had to scour youtube knowing what you were looking for as they had all been uploaded by different users...
plus there were quite a few missing which I had on my hard drive still
so we have 52 TV commercials so far, and this is probably still my favourite
anyway, you can find the rest at the new channel:, there might be a few you've not seen before!

Lifted most of them from happyhardcore.com :)
15 out of 52 isn't most! true many of them were shown on happyhardcore.com, but most of them have been lifted from other peoples youtube accounts because they were better quality/higher res than the ones on this site :P
keeping it to just TV ones for the minute, but I see no reason not to change that in the future! that hard fast and furious one should probably be added seeing as it has a hardcore cd and was aired on tv, nice one steveyboo!

surely it couldn't 'hurt' to put one on tv though? the adverts you put online are really reasonable! I'd imagine it would probably hurt on the financial side of things I guess, I'm sure airtime doesn't come cheap :/

Hey.... if you're paying, all objections dissipate!
We did look into "proper" TV advertising for a project that ultimately never came to fruition. We may do again, in the future.
For now, Youtube et al is enough.
Trivia: Most TV Advertising for Cds isn't actually because anyone believes it will sell many additional copies or even raise awareness of the release or brand. It is to demonstrate faith in the project by the label, with investment in TV advertising directly correlating to the likelihood that stores/supermarkets will stock said project in numbers. There are other factors in play, of course, but that's the main one.

I think everyone would be more than happy to pay twice the amount for the CD - if only to see the entire HU crew in a "This is Noize" style advert :P

I'm actually a bit shocked we don't really. Usually albums like this run about 20 USD, with shipping and everything they come just a bit under that. I certainly would not throw a shit fit if you decided to increase the costs of your albums :)
