Am I the only one that instantly thought of Tokyo Rush when hearing this?

I was under the impression it was common knowledge that Heart Of Asia/Tokyo Rush etc etc all sampled Ryuichi Sakamoto - Furyo (Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence)

that might just be a UK thing though, as the song was so widely played over here on the radio stations - I suppose seeing as dance music has been in the mainstream over here for almost two decades we just take these things for granted hehe

TBH I never heard it until after someone else made the ukhardcore remix (prior to Brisk & Uraken's Tokyo rush). But yea, it's a very melodic piece, but you're like 3 years to late on that connor :P

The original riff is from an old Japanese movie from the 60s called Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence. Wonderful riff, but bled to death in Hardcore and Jcore

Yes asshat I see what they're saying, I am stating that I never thought that anything preceded Watergate's track and never knew the origin of that riff, until now.

Yeah, I was aware of this chain of sampling as well. Never took it for common knowledge at all though!
