This isn't 100% hardcore news, but there is a contest that ends July 4th for your chance to play at EDC London. It's for amateur djs, but seeing as they're pretty unfamiliar with the UK Hardcore scene (I don't see a UK Hardcore dj at all in that lineup) I'm sure it's up for grabs for anyone. Only open to UK residents. Check it out!

Before you start thinking like I initially did and assume that something like this would never even consider hardcore, Rhythmics won the EDC Las Vegas version of this with a UK hardcore set, so it is possible.

I'm curious as to what constitutes an "amateur" DJ because I think before he won he was already signed to Futureworld, and in the past he has run his own label and had releases that he made money off of. I mean if they use that term loosely, then I'd like to see CLSM, Fracus & Darwin, Entity, Al Storm, and many others try and enter haha :)

To them, at least over here, Amateur means not getting international bookings. You would want to read the fine print to see if you qualify. Rhythmics may have been signed to futureworld but he doesn't play out and isn't well known over here. Wish I had the funds to go to EDC London, I'll be staying around the corner from it, but I'll be off to stonehenge and other parts of the country the day it happens.
