Here's the thing, it's been a while since i've searched through the masses of UK Hardcore out there let alone buy any single tracks, i've been mostly buying unmixed compilations.
There's so much crap out there that I get frustrated & end up returning to tried & tested older tracks that I love & have wanted for a while.
I'm now looking to get back into playing live radio shows & events & I need brand new Hardcore ! Some real uplifting stuff, preferably not "dubcore".
Any suggestions would be appreciated, cheers!

Don't listen to new Hardcore myself, couldn't even name one track for the last 3 years lol but from what I have heard there is a lot of 'Dubcore' but I know that Rebuild music is more for the Freeform side of things and some people say Freeform is still good. When you get back into your shows give us the link its been ages since I listened to one of your shows lol

Will do Smoogie, I usually chuck a link up on my fb, be on next weekend at some point no doubt :)
As for the rebuild stuff, i've grabbed every album so far & looking forward to the next one out this month. Quality label pushing quality music.

To be honest, there's no real difference between now and before. Only difference you probably liked going into records store and listening to samples. And ofcourse less dub :P
There's alot of good stuff still out there, if you are arsed to go throu every piece of track on IMOdownload (ah, why hath thou left me), TiD or Juno to find them.

One major difference though - there's tons of new stuff every week which makes checking out new releases time consuming. Plus, you get so fed up wading through all the shite it's easy to miss the decent stuff!

That's exactly it mate, it sounds lazy just asking on here but it takes so long to sieve through it all & like you say, miss so many great tracks. It doesn't help when your starting a week of 12hr nightshifts tonight mind!
I know there's a lot of members on here that know their stuff & with me not being as up to date with the new releases I figured i'd ask.

Yeah I badly miss going into my local record shop 23rd Precinct in Glasgow, & having a search. There's something missing for me when searching for tracks digitally. The social aspect of it all was great! Asking for suggestions, listening to different stuff & leaving with something you didn't plan too.
Mabey this thread should become the 'Online Record Shop' thread haha

For me it started in a record shop and now, nearly 10 years on all the record shops have closed in my area. I remember one shop in Bournemouth, Avid Records even had some early Gabber! Wish you could still do that now, walk in, listen to something you like, buy it and go home with no waiting for a delivery to arrive lol

It's in Vaxhaull, London, at Club Union. This Friday. Shimamura is playing, with others.
Hooray!

That's why physical products were/are handy, they act as gatekeepers of quality, so you don't have to check out thousands of substandard releases, just check out the labels who 'do it for you'. That's not to say you shouldn't check out other new music, you should, there might be artists or labels you have missed, but in a digital age where anyone can throw music in your face for not a lot of money, the role of gatekeepers has been diminished, in the days gone by, you had to put your money where your mouth and press up Vinyl. There is much less 'risk' with IMO Download releases. Whilst I'm sure, loads of people 'believe' in their music, I'd bet they would think twice before committing to a press.
