Isn't Elysium's melody from somewhere??? I remember it was a topic of discussion long ago, and some people said they've heard it before but can't remember from where.
There was an old dance track but that was early 2000's. Maybe there was an older version from 90's that I cant remember.
This one was 2006 I think and im sure ultrabeat did one aswell..

That is Ultrabeat vs Scott Brown and their joint remake. That came out after the hardcore one.

I've never minded that SB has ripped tunes as he has done it so well that they are generally better than the originals. Or just as good.

I never minded either regardless of where they came from, I do like them.
However one of the reasons why people have made it a huge deal is because he apparently takes great offense when someone remixes one of his tracks, with the exception of the last EV100 project. I think someone said that he said that people should go and produce their own original music, or something to that extent. Now that looks like an extremely ignorant and hypocritical statement considering most of the riffs and lyrics to his tracks come from elsewhere, and he never acknowledges it either.

But since most of his stuff aren't his originally, I guess he (I hope) means that you, as someone who wants to remix his tracks, should go to the original producer. Well kinda hard when he barely CREDITS them. Even if you got an approval to use their sounds or samples, isn't credits needed?

is it wierd that as i read this post i'm listening to bonkers 9 and ghosts is playing and as i finished reading it the creepy voice said "HE'S COMING AFTER YOU!!!" i nearly pooped my pants lmao
but there aint much he can do like for instance if i remix one of his tracks and he don't like it he'd get told to gtf and stfu thats all you need to do it's only a frickin remix at the end of the day it's not like i tried to break into his studio and steal all his equipment

I have always loved Scott Brown, I'm actually listening to some of his old vinyls right now. I think someone should start a new thread working out all the little samples in the back ground and at the start of nearly every track he has done. listening to elysium at the mo. think the sample in that is wiseguys 'ohh la la'.
