20 years in the making! Gary's farewell message
Vibealite as always stud out from all the other promotions in the scene, managing to stay out of the politics and just sticking to putting on parties that people love and beg for time and time again
But alas all good things must come to an end! Well almost.......
Through the years other promoters have made offers to try and buy us out of the scene, we have rejected them all.
For me personally vibealite has been a labour of love and we have achieved more and helped shape the scene more than any other organization.
Vibealite has never been about the money unlike other promoters! This is why we rejected all offers of a buyout. Instead I have been working closely with a raver from my hometown of Mansfield. From working together over the last 3 years he has come to understands and knows what is expected of him to continue with the tradition of vibealite but also what is need to take it into the future.
Our 20th birthday party as been set for 2 years as my final event.
THIS IS MY FINAL PARTY!
Then I will be handing over the running operations to your new promoter Tom Shock.
Just because it?s my last party it doesn't mean that it?s going to change the reasons why I book the artists that I have.
We wanted a Dj who could reflect the early years of vibealite (the past).
We also wanted a Dj who could reflect on the future.
Dj Sy has been with us from the very 1st day, and has rocked more of the regular vibealite ravers than any other Dj, for me personally Dj Sy has been the savior of the hardcore scene, an artist who delivers every time no matter what.
Darren styles again in my personal opinion has been the artist who as done more than any other artist to take hardcore to the masses whilst remaining true to his origins.
Fergus, Rush and Peta Pan. Our very underrated residents. Their task as residents is the hardest of them all. Their job is to step in when someone's late, build the crowd up for the headlining act or alter the mood to allow the crowd to take a breather whilst maintaining a full dance floor. For this event they have been given a no holds barred approach, Play what the **** they like! I have told them to just rock the crowd like never before.
So with all this in mind I ask you to come along and join us for this final farewell party. In 20 years of running vibealite I have attended every single event and this is my last one.
So if over the last 20 years I have managed to give you a night to remember like so many of you have told me.
It's now your turn to give me the send off and a party that will live with me for the rest of my life. I'm not working I'm on the dance floor for this so come down and join me... For what is set to be ONE THAT WILL LIVE WITH US FOREVER..
Note: arrive early a lockout is almost guaranteed. Sorry but no reservations or advance bookings available but we have kept the price at ?6.00 on the door half the price we charged in 1993..

Had many a good night at Vibealite events.
Bit of a pity that the current regime is going out with such a whimper.

This. Been to a fair few Vibealite events that had top quality lineups, but Sy, Styles and some residents? Bit of a poor do. It might be "not all about the money", etc but you'd think a proper lineup would have been organized (including Sy and Styles of course (back to back even!!)), given that it's not only this chap's last one, but celebrating 20 years of Vibealite (I know this particular event isn't the 20th birthday, but still...)
EDIT - maybe it is the 20th birthday upon closer inspection...

The 3:30 am finish rules the event out for non-locals and those that don't drive or do drive but want to drink etc.
