me experimenting with happy hardcore... first attempt.. i went for a 140 bpm feel so that i could drop an epic progressive dubstep drop in the middle so you feel like you are being chased back up to happy hardcoreland..
any thoughts? figured that this forum would probably be the best place for feedback

You could've made the main parts of the track ~170, while slowing down in the middle for a breakbeat/dubstep section. It's not that uncomming to slow down or increase speed in a track.

I gotta say this doesn't sound like any variation of hardcore at that tempo, just club.
I would go with Saminations reccomendation.
Here's a great example:
Start around 1:25.
