Just a thread for people to chuck in links (links, don't embed) to tracks that have just popped up on SoundCloud and that are forthcoming (or along those lines, anyway) that you think people should know about.
When I hear new bits I really like online, I normally chuck them to one or two people and chat about them - but it'd be nice to have a thread for properly discussing and discovering.

Not really enjoying the male vocals on those first 2 tracks. Seriously can't they get male vocals from guys who actually know how to sing? I really do miss Ant Johnson tracks.

No clue. I mentioned it to someone from HU, not sure if it was on here or on FB, but they said there was something in the works with him, but all that have come out were remixes for which vocals were done long ago. So nothing new.
It's probably safe to say he's not coming back, at least not in the near future. Unless they've been really super-secretive with this Happy HU album that he might make an appearance. Damn I sure do hope so! Easily one of, if not, the best male vocalist in UK Hardcore :)

That is true! The majority of vocalists from the 90s are from talented.

Do you mean Ant Johnson, as well? He wasn't prolific but he definitely did more than a couple. Possibly twenty or so, I reckon.

The full version of this was released on clubland hardcore 9 I think. Not a huge fan of it myself. Especially since Klubfiller decided to close HTID In the sun with it, was an anti-climax to say the least

I'm a bit tired of male vocals to be honest. They need to be exceptional to work with hardcore IMO.

Yep, I'm afraid so lads. I like them. And I can understand that you don't - opinions are opinions.
The only thing that I'll concede is that I probably got myself overly-excited because I expect extremely little from these two particular guys, generally speaking (in terms of catering to my personal taste). When the tracks managed to not drop into momentumless voids I was extremely happy.
The vocals on the Petruccio track really make it for me. Whether they're over-processed, whether the lyrics are tired and overused - I don't really care too much. They just happen to have a nice balance of vulnerable and emotional that just make me really like the track in general. Hardcore's Hardcore - and I appreciate that what's disposable cheap tosh to one person is catchy and engaging to another!
And Deano: Pleased stick it out for a few months mate, please! I know you can't go on listening forever and you are a monumental legend for sticking with Hardcore for as long as you have. I really think good things are happening. Irrespective of the tracks I've listed here - the colossal amount of material forthcoming on HU along with the promising Freeform scene/labels has to be worth just sticking around until Christmas or so!
