...... Was last night!
I'm not really all that gutted tbh coz I never listened live anymore always caught it on iPlayer and he's got his podcast so no lose tbh! I will be gutted that hard isn't played to the masses but hardcore, hardstyle, hard trance, Gabba and rave in general isn't exactly hard to get hold of these days is it?

Got to give it to radio 1 really. They supported the scene when it was dog **** to be frank. Things started to get a little better, moved to the show to a Thursday, mean't more people like me were less likely to stay in, (which religiously I did for a while to listen to Kutski on a Friday night). Now hardcore is at a very promising stage, and excites me, the future is bright once again :)

I thought "John Peel" was a very fitting last song to play. I think it is a bit sad - just for the sake of truly great non commercialized hard edm that was able to be shown to the masses. That's something special.

A bit? I'd say that's a pretty damn big blow to UK hardcore. Gabber hardcore and hardstyle have multiple mainstream outlets to gain new fans, but UK hardcore predominately being a niche in the UK, I don't know how one would run into it unless you're actually looking for it.

Blast it out in your car like I do!
I even got one guy over here getting interested in Freeform and old-school Gabba when we drove together to a Goa-rave.

Kutski is a legend for pushing our scene for so long on a national commercial station!!!! He's done so much for us all over the years, it's such a shame though no more KTRA on radio 1

I guess that's why the show is no more. Hardcore and related genres aren't appealing enough to the general public.
