Smoogie, I was actually thinking the same thing over this past weekend as I was listening to Bonkers. It's hard to believe some of the anthems in the Happy Hardcore genre are almost (or are) 20 years old now!

Its never been said what the first 'Happy' Hardcore was but some say SMD1 but I have heard some '92 Old Skool that could easily be passed off as Happy Hardcore. Some say it ended around 1999 but I have heard some tunes from 2001 keeping the Old Skool Happy sound going as well
The two Bonkers from 2003 where 10 & 11 and some of the tunes on them, especially the Sharkey mixes where always top quality and still sound good today. I think in 93 the big change was the split from Happy Hardcore and Jungle but that was before my time but from 93 I prefer the emerging Scottish and Dutch Gabber sounds
